Report on connexions job centre When young people drop out of school they have
2 opportunities; either they go to college or they enter apprenticeship.
If they choose apprenticeship they usually go to connexions. There,
they find special advisers who help them look for the most suitable
job for them. As to, young people with limited education these have
2 chances: they can have a training period or they can make an apprenticeship.
Apprenticeship is a course that enables young people to start working
and it is based on both practical and theoretical skills because it
involves a short period of work in a factory a subsequent specialization
which allows them to earn more money. Young people who choose an apprenticeship
usually have a minimum salary that is between £4 and £8
per hour. This salary is not adequate to bring up a family; in fact
they receive health assistance and other benefits. Job centre support
